Meet Our New Director of Experiential Events & Fundraising, Lane Hackemack!

Lane Hackemack - The New Director of Experiential Events & Fundraising for DBIA-SW

The Design-Build Institute of America – Southwest Region (DBIA-SW) is thrilled to welcome Lane Hackemack as our newest team member and Director of Experiential Events and Fundraising! Lane’s diverse professional journey and passion for creating impactful experiences make her a fantastic addition to our team.

Lane’s career is a testament to her versatility and dedication. She began in the dynamic world of large-scale event production, playing pivotal roles in coordinating some of the most high-profile events in the country, including New York Fashion Week, The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and the San Francisco International Film Festival, among others. Whether overseeing event logistics, managing hospitality teams, or designing immersive experiences, Lane’s meticulous attention to detail and creative vision have been key to her success across industries.

After more than a decade in New York City, Lane returned to her roots in Fort Worth and shifted her focus to the nonprofit sector. In this chapter of her career, she leveraged her expertise to support local organizations, volunteering as a board member and contributing to community-driven initiatives. Her commitment to service took on a new form when she pursued a second career in healthcare, earning her nursing degree and spending five years as an ICU nurse. During this time, Lane’s compassion and critical thinking skills made a profound impact on her patients and colleagues.

Now, Lane is excited to bring her wealth of experience back to the event production world with DBIA-SW. In her new role, she’ll focus on creating memorable, meaningful events that foster collaboration and advance the mission of design-build across the Southwest Region.

When she’s not crafting unforgettable experiences for DBIA-SW, Lane enjoys traveling with her husband, Mike, and their two children. The Hackemack family is on a mission to explore as many National Parks as possible (12 and counting!) in their RV. Lane is also deeply committed to making a difference in the foster care system, both as a foster and adoptive parent and as a mentor to high-school-age girls currently in foster care.

We are excited to have Lane’s unique perspective, drive, and creativity on our team. Please join us in welcoming Lane Hackemack to the DBIA-SW team!
